The Willis Johnson & Associates (WJA) Wealth Management Development Program is a structured two-year rotational experience designed to build the technical foundation and professional confidence needed for a long-term career in wealth management.
During the program, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to every stage of the client journey, rotating across:
- Client Onboarding – learn how new client relationships are established and supported
- Client Operations – serve as “mission control” for paperwork, transfers, and custodial processes
- Tax Operations – partner with our in-house CPA team during busy season to see tax strategies in action
- Portfolio Management – contribute to reporting, trading, and investment analysis
- Financial Planning – support advisors in developing comprehensive, client-centered financial plans

- Bachelor’s degree required (all majors considered; finance, economics, accounting, or business preferred)
- Prior internships or experience in wealth management, financial planning, banking, or insurance is a plus
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset
- Comfortable with technology (Excel, CRM systems, financial platforms)
- Curious, motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Salary: $65,000 – $70,000/year, plus 10–15% discretionary performance bonus (paid bi-annually)
